Our Stay the Night scheme runs right through the year. This means self-contained motorhomes and campervans can park for one night in participating car parks.

2026 Opening dates

Raiders' Road Forest Drive is now open until the end of October 2026.
Please be aware, the drive is two-way for motorised vehicles and two-way for walkers, bicycles, horses and non-motorised traffic. Please be mindful of other users.

Getting here

You can drive Raiders' Road Forest Drive in either direction. The west entrance is on the south side of the A712 (also known as The Queen's Way) between Newton Stewart and New Galloway. The east entrance is on the A762, just north of Mossdale village.
