Aros Park

The following notices are in effect at this location.

1. Tree felling operations

   Tree felling operations will commence in Aros Park on 31 August 2026 and are expected to continue for four weeks.

   The park will remain open throughout the works. However, areas where clear-felling is taking place will be closed to the public, with access controlled by advisory signage and safety barriers.

   Short-term closures will affect the Coastal Trail link between Tobermory and Aros Park. It may be necessary to close this core path during the day when tree felling is taking place in close proximity to the trail.

   Banksmen will be on duty to provide guidance and ensure public safety. We kindly ask all visitors to follow the advice of site personnel and observe all signage, barriers, and safety instructions while visiting the park during this period.

2. Lochan Trail

   The access road and all trails are affected by storm damaged trees. Sections of the trails are closed and care is advised with assessments ongoing. 

3. The Waterfalls Trail

   The access road and all trails are affected by storm damaged trees. Sections of the trails are closed and care is advised with assessments ongoing.

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.
