  1. Forestry works

    • Ardcastle has an active tree felling work site. We have combined elements of the Hazel Burn and Point Trail to create a 6 km temporary trail of moderate grade which should take 3 hours to walk. The harvesting is extensive and likely to continue until spring 2026. Please follow all safety information and signage on site.

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Forestry works

You may find tree felling, road building and timber lorries here. Keep safe and don't enter closed areas. Always follow signs and instructions.
